This week is a little different for grocery shopping. You may notice quite a few blank spaces on our meal plan this week. We have decided to fast for part of this week. This is not something we want to shout out to the world, but for one, I needed to explain why we had no food plans for a few days and two, I thought it would be an interesting topic to just discuss briefly. We have chosen to fast this week to focus on prayer. We want to pray for the house we are looking for, and for other more general things in our lives. Since I don't know any of you personally, I figured I could discuss this a little bit. I won't be telling anyone we know, we want it to be a personal thing for us. Anyway, if you've never fasted before, it is a great way to grow close with God. If you are like me, you spend a lot of time making meal plans, cooking, cleaning up dishes, etc. Without all of that you have hours extra for prayer and meditation. Let me know if you have any questions :)
