As we've previously discussed, I absolutely adore peanut butter (see
Peanut Butter Popcorn). It's not normal, but that's okay, if we were all the same life would be boring. So, in this midst of this crazy heat wave, I couldn't help but make something tasty and chilly tonight. So, I dug through my freezer and pantry to see what I could whip up! Luckily, I found some cookies and cream ice cream shoved in the back of the freezer, peanut butter (which is always in the cabinet), and some milk. We are getting low on food since I go shopping on Monday :) Anyway, those three together got the gears turning to make a mock of one of my favorite treats from DQ or Culver's. I always order a peanut butter sauce and oreo blizzard or concrete, I don't discriminate when it comes to ice cream, I like everywhere. If you've never tried this, the PB sauce makes it like PB ice cream with oreos in it, and in my mind you can't go wrong with that!
Ingredients
1/4 cup milk
1 Tbl peanut butter
1 cup cookies and cream ice cream
Directions
Place milk, PB, and ice cream in blender and mix until well blended. I used the "shake" setting on my blender, but I know they are all so different it's hard to tell what would be similar on your blender :) Hope you enjoy this tasty treat as much as I did, and cheers to the heat wave supposedly ending this week!
we sort of make a version of this. put vanilla ice cream in a bowl, top with oreos and crunchy peanut butter and mix it up (like at marble slab)!
ReplyDeleteyou can never go wrong with chocolate and peanut butter!
your shakes look good!
